What does chiropractic have to do with inflammation and immunity?
Inflammation and immune function play a role in our day-to-day lives. They can impact our health, and when they are not functioning properly, our bodies are unable to defend themselves from factors that may compromise our health. So, what does that mean for our overall health?
When our bodies encounters daily physical, chemical, and emotional stresses, the brain stem fires out the signals that helps the body adapt and return back to homeostasis. The state in which out body is content and healthy. Since the brain stem serves as a communication center, it’s essential that those communication calls are going through properly!
Because the atlas (the very top of your spine) protects the brain stem, any subluxation (misalignment in the spine), can choke off and distort the normal communication of the brain with the body. Taking care of our spine means correcting the effects of that subluxation and, as a result, taking care of our overall health.
If a telephone pole went down and took out your phone service, wouldn’t you want to get it back up and running? Our bodies deserve the same chance for effective communication! When our bodies can easily communicate within themselves, our immune systems can function at their best, and we can heal!
